On a summer visit back to the farm here where I grew up, I think I figured out the central problem with modern industrial agriculture. It’s not just that it produces unhealthy food, mishandles waste and overuses antibiotics in ways that harm us all.

Do you know where your food comes, have you visited the farm that raises your food? You should visit the farm to see the conditions the animals are kept in. Are they kept in close confined pens or are the free to roam the pasture with places to rest out of the sun under the trees and out of the mud.
Contended animals have less natural stress hormones in their body when being butchered because they are used to being raised and handled humanely”.
