This is one of my favorite glazed brisket recipes. Slow cooked and glazed. I received a smoker for Mother’s Day several years ago and it has been one of my most favorite gifts. I enjoy smoking our meat for Sunday dinner and serving fresh vegetables with it.
Ingredients
- Beef brisket, about 3-6 lbs.
- Water
- 1 medium onion, quartered
- 2 cloves garlic, cut into halves
- 1 jar apple jelly
- 3 Tbs brown mustard
- 3 Tbs chopped leeks
- Salt, to taste
- ¾ teaspoon pepper
- ¾ teaspoon curry powder
In a saucepan combine the apple jelly, mustard, green onions, salt, pepper, and curry powder. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Place the brisket, onion, garlic, and cloves on the smoker 3 – 3/12 hours
Baste with glaze and smoke for an additional 45 minutes. The apple glaze tastes wonderful and smoky.
Remove from smoker let rest for 10 minutes and slice across the grain. Serve immediately
