This is a great article about 100% grass-fed beef. In Southern Maryland it is our opinion that we do not have the climate or the ground to sustain 100% grass-feed beef to finish with good marbling. Our cattle are on pasture year round and fed hay and grain to supplement them to get the marbling that we are looking for in the high quality meat we raise.
We are very fortunate that our customers want high quality meat that they can’t get in the grocery stores. Yesterday we were told by a new customer that he hadn’t had a steak that good since he was a little boy back on his parents farm. We appreciate raising our beef and goat meat to standards that our customers can count on.
